Since moving on to the Sims 3, I've noticed I really miss a lot of the "feel" of the Sims 2 (and even The Sims 1). I basically want to play TS2 but with the newer engine of TS3. That was how this idea was born.

Right now, my plan is to make TS3 have more of the "TS2 aesthetic". Where this brings me, only time will tell. It could be from rextures to conversions. At this point, as it's still a new idea, this could change or be added upon.

Policy:
Keep it free. Adfly is not free!
No pay sites, period. This includes uploading sims/lots with my things included.
Definitely do not claim as your own and do not reupload.
Yes you may edit my sim related things as long as you give credit.
Yes you may convert my things as long as you ask me first.

More objects for around the house.
The baby basket is the only recolorable object out of the bunch.

And a closer view of the ring as it's difficult to see in the first picture.

Here is set two of my Buyable Objects project. All items are decorations and are not recolorable.

More Sets Coming Soon to a Blog Near You!

These are some Base Game objects that usually are used for animations or other specific tasks that aren't buyable through the catalog. There are only four objects in this set. A pizza box, ice cream, fruit drink and yogurt. I thought these might be useful for storytellers or those of us who just enjoy some Maxis Match clutter. :)

Goats
textures turned into two different patterns (those of you in that were/are in the TS2 community should probably know what I am talking about, yes? :D). I do not regret using Goats textures on everything in my preview picture.

A texture edit to the Colonial Dresser. This is NOT a default replacement.

Please read carefully as there is some important information. If you ask me a question that is already covered here, your ask will be ignored. Also, if I missed anything, don't be shy and let me know! There are a lot of objects to sort through so it's bound to happen. Just be sure to check that there isn't a recolor without the stencil first.

There were a few other objects that still have stencils but for some reason they were also put on to the actual texture as well, which means I will have to edit it out.

I know there is a mod that already removes stencils/overlays etc, but I’d rather just boot up my game and have the ugly be gone.

*IMPORTANT* The stencils still show up in the thumbnails for both the catalog and recolors but they are removed for the object once placed. Also, some of the objects when placed still have the stencils. To get rid of them, you need to select the next recolor. I have no clue why this happens. If anyone knows how to fix it, let me know. The objects shown above are only some of the included objects.

Doilies be gone! This is bittersweet for me, as I love crocheting; but I must admit, I would rather have a doililess option.

I didn't remove the flower pictures off the asian bed as I thought they were pretty. It may seem like I didn't take all the stencils off, as there are more objects than these with stencils, but I didn't do the others as at least one recolor is stencilless which would make it rather pointless.

These are both fairly simple, and sorry for the terrible screenshots. I don’t have any CC currently so my inspiration was at an all time low.

I edited a base game desk as I found the original hideous and there’s no way I would use it as is. All I did was remove the top outline thingy (I’m sure it has a name, but I care too little to look) and edited the specular to hopefully be less shiny. I should also probably add this is NOT a default replacement. I could probably try and make one if requested though.

The other is a conversion of another wallpaper by Trapping. What can I say, Trapping makes some awesome stuff.

(Further EPs/Stuff Packs to follow!)

I also plan on removing the "bump map" off some items in the future. This will take more time as I also have to edit the texture as well.

I can’t tell you how annoyed I get of stencils/overlays being places they really aren’t needed. Especially when you are given no option to remove them. After seeing Hillary’s (i-like-teh-sims) CAS rehaul, I decided to annihilate some icky stencils and overlays on the build/buy objects. These are a default replacement. I have named all objects using their EA names so hopefully you can make some sense out of any you may want to delete.

I know there is a mod that already removes stencils/overlays etc, but I’d rather just boot up my game and have the ugly be gone.

I took the stencils overlays off (I suppose the title is a bit misleading as 99% really are overlays but aye) the Mission and Country sets.
